Winter Bachelorette Party

This year we have hosted a few bachelorette parties at lake houses because we live in Texas and can plan on warm weather about 9 months out of the year.  But if you’re the MOH for a winter bride, have we left you scratching your head over the cold-weather bachelorette festivities?

Never to fear, we’re coming to you just in time with some of our favorite cold weather girly activities.

Wine Tasting
It’s never too cold to sample some vino, and what better way to travel to nearby wineries than to rent a HEATED van or limo to drive your group in between?    This is the perfect way to spend a crisp winter afternoon, especially if the wineries have heaters on their patio!

Totally normal.
Spa Day
What’s cozier than curling up in a fluffy robe and getting a mani/pedi or facial?  Grab your besties and head to a local spa for some cold-weather pampering.  It doesn’t have to cost a million bucks to still come out looking and feeling like it.

Slumber Party
Sure we’re both pushing 30, but we still love a good ol’ fashioned slumber party.  You can do makeovers, watch your favorite movies, and talk ish about people on Facebook.  This is the perfect atmosphere for eating your body weight in chips and queso and boozing without having to drive home.

Great weather all year round and a plethora of indoor entertainment.  Enough said.

Restaurant Hopping
Is your bride a true foodie?  Make a night out of hitting up some of your favorite food spots.  Host a ladies night at the Melting Pot where you can warm up over a bowl of Swiss fondue, and then head over to your favorite dessert joint for warm apple pie and Baileys and coffee.  We even have a restaurant here in Austin called Halcyon that serves s’mores right at your table.

Bar Hopping
Perhaps our best advice for a winter bachelorette party is to just suck it up.  This is your friend’s big moment, and if she wants to hit up the bars in a halter top when it’s 32 degrees out you might just have to grin and bear it.  Word to the wise – bring a cardigan that can fold up inside your purse so you’re comfortable inside and out.

Or just go like this:

Tell us – what types of bachelorette parties have you attended in the cooler months?
