A Bowtie Baby Sprinkle

You  might remember the Mexican fiesta baby shower we threw for our friend Mary in 2010.  Well, she is having another baby boy in June, so we wanted to throw her another little party. Enter - the bowtie sprinkle!

(A sprinkle is basically a smaller baby shower held for a second baby.  You can see another example here.)

We put this sprinkle together for a small group - just 4 couples - but we still wanted to add some special touches just like we would for any other event.  Ruthie had purchased these Sticky Bellies as a gift, and we used them to inspire our entire theme.

Moms put these Sticky Bellies on their babies' onesies and take a picture each month to track their growth.

Because these stickers are just so "boyish," we went with the bowtie/necktie theme to celebrate this little man.  Here's a rundown of all the other deets -

You know the traditional diaper cake?  Well, Ruthie decided to make diaper bowties instead and strung them like garland.

Another hostess, Jenny, used her Silhouette machine to make these adorable onesies.  Check out the aviators!

And now for the treats!  In keeping with our boyish theme, we added bowties to our cake pops and mini M&Ms served as shirt buttons.

We also made necktie cookies as party favors with custom tags.

Ruthie used the same design for these water bottle labels.  You can find our tutorial here.

Lastly, some special photos of the mama-to-be and her family.

This sprinkle was a blast because we had a great theme to work with and 3 very crafty and dedicated hostesses!  It was also fun to surprise the mama-to-be - she thought it was just a plain old dinner!
